NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness

The Mason Tenders’ Training Fund (MTTF) provides the member with written material that allows the student to become familiar with the purpose of a fireguard on a construction site where torch use and temporary heat are present.  We provide a practice exam and a letter of referral to take with them to the New York City Fire Department that will allow them to take the test. (formerly F93)

S92-TEMPORARY HEAT (NATURAL GAS & LPG)           4 Hours

The S92 course is required for anyone seeking certification from the NYC Fire Department in the handling, dispensing and storing Liquid Petroleum Gases (LPG) and natural gases. The certification is also required for anyone handling, dispensing and storing motor fuels as it relates to supervision of temporary heat. (Note: The S92 certification was formally known as the G94 and incorporates the requirements of W14)

G60- TORCH USE                                                                    4 Hours

This certificate is required for anyone seeking certification from the NYC Fire Department for the use of an oxy-acetylene torch or other included cutting and burning assemblies. (Formerly G95)
